John Culbertson has always made a living as a writer. With a degree in Broadcast News Journalism from the University of Georgia, he spent 10 years as a News Reporter for WYFF-TV in Greenville, SC, and then 3 more as News Director for 3 Radio Stations in the Multimedia Group. John left the News Business to further exercise the right side of his brain as Creative Director for TVP Studios. There, John was responsible for writing all scripts for clients. Including long-format marketing and training videos, documentaries, and broadcast commercials. His talents led to two years as the head writer for a nationally syndicated television show, and he also wrote the original pilot for the television show, Flip This House on the Arts and Entertainment Network. His writing reputation led to “ghost writing” status for several advertising agencies. His work as Writer, Director and Producer has been recognized with an Intercom Award from the Chicago International Film Festival, more than 50 National Telly Awards, and various local and regional Addy Awards. He is also a published playwright, represented by Samuel French in New York. John co-founded Double Dog Video Productions to fill a creative niche in the regional market.
